Connecting a Salesforce org

Connect a Salesforce org via OAuth to start capturing snapshots and running regression tests. Revsnap stores your refresh token securely and never stores your Salesforce password.

Admin required

Only Workspace Admins can connect Salesforce orgs. Members see a disabled button and should ask their admin to connect an org first.

Connect an org​

  1. Go to Environments in the sidebar (/environments).
  2. Click Connect your first org (or Connect org if you already have environments).
  3. In the modal, choose whether to connect a sandbox org.
  4. Click Connect to Salesforce. You are redirected to Salesforce to authorize Revsnap.
  5. After authorization, you return to Revsnap and the org appears in your environments list.

Choose Production or Sandbox, then authorize via Salesforce OAuth.

Production vs sandbox​

Check Sandbox / test org before clicking Connect if your target is not a production login.

What Revsnap stores​

During OAuth, Revsnap receives a refresh token from Salesforce. This token lets Revsnap read quote and line-item data when you capture snapshots or run tests. Revsnap does not store your Salesforce username or password.

Viewing connected orgs​

Each connected org shows its name, type, and health status.

The Environments page lists all orgs connected to your workspace. You can see:

  • Org name and Salesforce instance URL
  • Whether the org is production or sandbox
  • Connection health indicators

Disconnecting an org​

Workspace Admins can disconnect an org from the Environments page. Disconnecting removes the OAuth token. Existing snapshots tied to that org remain, but new captures and runs against that org will fail until you reconnect.
